I really could use some advice. I have been running really cold again. I have Hot/cold streaks, but it seems that I can't shake this one.

I have last 100 hand history and would share it with anyone that would be willing to let me my main weaknesses.

My Yahoo Messenger user name is Eddie_71655 and would appreciate any help.

I am not the greatest player by far but could take a look for you if you like. Alternatively putting the HH's up you may get better results on here and be able to take everyone's opinions into account to better help you out. I have had those cold spells myself some time ago and I found that taking some time off and not playing has helped me in the past to get back to a better frame of mind while playing. You can send them to chrisdaman77@gmail.com if you feel better than posting here.

First thing is, 100 hands histories aren't running cold, that's not even once through the roster of starting hands :)

If you want to win, you have to play with a clear head whatever that takes. If you can't focus right now because you are on a loosing streak trying to make up some ground, then the best thing to do is stop playing. If you do have to break then I'd suggest picking up a decent poker book and flipping through it to help remind you of some basics that you know but might be deviating too much from.

Still you should play some games that are fun to you so that you aren't 100% out of poker even when you break.

I finally have found something that we disagree on :D. I believe that while 100 hands does not consider a cold streak they can however give you an idea as to some bad habits that you may have picked up. While they may look ok to you and you may have a justified reason for playing the hand like you did it is always helpful to have a fresh set of eyes look them over.

Is this cold streak in Ring games, SnGs, or MTT? 100 hands won't tell much unless your making obvious mistakes. All I can say is that poker can be very streaky. Sometimes you might get into some bad habits if you play in alot of the same tournys vs the same players and you make adjustments to play against certain players and then get into a different game and continue to play the same way. But that you can fix by just realizing it.

If your constantly comming up with the 2nd best hand, and getting rivered all the time while playing well, you should just take some time off, maybe a week or so. Sometimes it seems that PokerStars has it in for you and won't let you win, so try another site for a while. I've seen some really great players not cash at all in 30 or more games in a row so don't think that it's just happening to you

OK here goes, I have been looking at my history. I tend to over play suited cards. I tend to try to play to many hands. I loose call. I am trying to realisticly look at what I am doing right, and wrong. it seems that although I am mostly a tight/passive player. I will over play high suited cards, or high pairs. I have a problem traping with top set, I over bet and when I do I lose potential money. I will continue to look at what I am doing correct and wrong.

Everytime you play poker, you have to reinstablish your image imo. If you get caught playing alot of trasdh hands..,,you gonna lose credibility later on in tourney,,sng. This of course will get you loose called verus your raises.,,,,,
Im to tiried to go over this n ow,...im going to bed,,ill finish this tomorrow

Suited connectors are a major leak for alot of players, play them from late position, don't call a raise if there are several people left to act. KQ, KJ, K10, QJ are known as trap hands for a reason. Flops that improve your hand could give someone else a straight, flops that come with 2 flush cards for you could be giving someone else a nut draw.
I've found the best way to work out of a rut is to play much tighter and fold in questionable situations. It's easy to play poorly when you are getting bad beats, tighten up and play hands you know you are favorite to win with. Remember that bad beats are a part of the game and keep the fish coming back. AA is only a 80% favorite preflop, so 1 out of 5 times your going to lose with it. You can save yourself some chips if you play it more conservatively when the flop looks bad.
Read some books, troll the forums bounce your ideas off of a buddy. Good Luck!

well 100 hands isnt enough to judge total play but seems that you realize some leaks, are you playing cash games or just tournies? overplaying trouble hand or small medium suited connectors is easy to do, I like suited connectors myself, but you have to play them correctly or they will cost you tons. position is super imprtant and the ability to lay down medium strength flops with bad draws, I play mostly live cash games and online cash games some, online im very careful with suited connectors and throw away more than i would with more visual input. I agree with other guys that if you think your playing worse than you usualy do a break may be all you need, online poker can cause burn out and you can start playing robot poker, which will get you beat...imho, you can email me at lord_games@hotmail.com i can see if i notice any major flaws...but id try keeping my vpip reasonable, less than 20 pfr 10 or 12 and play position, while always weighing the range your oppenent would play with in any situation
