I really like how I played this hand...would anyone play it differently? I purposely bet $400 (low) on river to make my opponent think I didn't catch...it worked.

I wouldn't bet the flop. It's basically a semi bluff move that will likely commit you to calling behind when facing a raise. However if you check and let someone behind bet a draw or bluff, maybe even just over cards I think you would see a bit more value from the pair.

No problem with the rest of it, gradual movement of the chpis that builds the pot and makes it look like you can be bluffed is always nice. :)

Id say it was played perfectly, i dont see how betting flop is a semi bluff, when you logicaly have best hand there with a gutshot draw, id say you bet that flop for value so I disagree with adaon...but you got max value and you induced a bluff raise on river...well played imho
