Hey all!!!!! The new season of Holdemfreaks intense Tournament Leader Board Competition is about to commence!!! We're really looking forward to spirited nightly competition now that everyone knows there's a lot of $$$$$ up for grabs!!

Outlined below are the guidelines for accumulating points for the TLB for both Early and Late Games beginning February 1, 2010. Please review them carefully. This is what we plan to go with however, there remains about 10 days to adjust them if necessary.

- Early game and late games will be run separately throughout the year.

- Three $ ($3) will be sent by the winner of each game nightly for the money pools to be distributed as follows:

- Each Month there will be a Banner Winner (Early and Late Games). A single person can win multiple Banners. This will be the person accumulating the most points in that respective game each month. The End of Year Game "Ticket" will be awarded to the person accumulating the most points each month until they win a ticket, it then gets passed to the next person in line who has not won a ticket yet.Approximately two $ ($2) will be accumulated from the three $ ($3) paid nightly for the pool for these two (2) year end games. The total purse should be around seven hundred dollars ($700) for each game plus fifty dollars each($50) money added.

-Every three (3) months there will be two (2) quarterly games, one for Early Game players, one for Late. The top three (3) points earners for each game (each of the three (3) months) will be invited to play. Since it's very likely that one person easily could be in the top three more than once, there may therefore be from three (3) to nine (9) players in these games. One third, approximately ($1) each night will be collected as the prize pool for these tournaments. The total purse should be around ninety$ ($90) for each game.

- Any money added from any source will not apply as "points".

- Points in each game will be awarded as follows:
1 point for each place achieved.
1/2 point for each dollar won in that tourney (again, money added or bounties do not apply).

- If a tournament (Early or Late) does not exceed 14 players the following pay in applies to that tourneys winner:

14 players or more, three $ ($3).

Ten to thirteen players, two$ ($2).

Nine players or less, one$ ($1).

- Each months total cash contribution will be divided with 1/3 being applied to the Quarterly Game and 2/3 being applied to the Year End Game. This resolves any math issues due to odd dollar amounts or failure to pay buy randoms who win.

As you can see, the guidelines are essentially the same as 2009 with the following exceptions:

-The $100 added was split between the Early and Late Games

- There will be a quarterly competition (Early and Late) with from 3 to 9 players eligible (the top 3 points earners each month) compete for approximately $90.

- Points for cashing are reduced to 1/2 point for every dollar won (rather than a full point).

Thanks again to all of you in the greatest online poker community out there in cyberspace and looking forward to seeing many new and successful players in the coming year!!!
