I don’t know why you have taken such a visceral dislike to me, If I have offended you by anything that I have said let me unreservedly apologize, if you don’t like the way I play poker, you will just have to lump it.
If you think that all the vitriol hurled my way will make me leave HF, you have to rethink that as I AM HERE TO STAY.
I will never play poker as stylishly as you do; as I can’t calculate pot odds in my head and speak Old Norse as you can. I fully admit to having holes in my game; I think everyone, up to and including Yoda and Rose have parts of their games that they would like to improve. Here are some of mine:
Do I play too many small pairs out of position, YES!
Am I as patient as I should be; NO, especially at a final table.
Am I lucky, I WOULD HOPE SO. I think every gambler would want to be lucky and skilled at what they do. I leave you with a quote from; I believe it was Amarillo Slim: “There are just some times in my life I would rather be lucky than good.” In the long run, if I am relying on more luck than skill I would eventually get ground down, but I am not, so I am not.
It must be maddening to you to lose to a person like me, it gets you madder and madder. All this madness and anger pointed towards me is a great advantage to me. The madder you the closer you get to tilting, the closer you get to tilting, the dumber mistakes that you will make. The dumber mistakes you make the easier it is for me to take money from you. You keep this up I WILL BE A VERY RICH MAN by the time I am finished with you.
You violate the cardinal rule of poker: NEVER let it get personal. I wear your scorn and ridicule as a badge of honor.
And in conclusion; IMHO you are the HF’s version of Mike Matusow, a pretty good all around poker player who would be even better if he ran his cards instead of his mouth.
Yours Sincerely,
RDuckham
