Yes they are. The Series III cards have been set up to come out between three and five time faster I believe. There was an announcement that I got emailed about it when Series III started.

I hope they still are,I havnt earned a gold card yett!!!!!,i been wondering how long it will take!!,been at cake over a year too,but rarely play rings,think ive got 3 gold coins tho.

You'll get one. You just have to play more ring games. If you're playing the lower limits it takes awhile for them to come out. The bigger the limits the faster they come out. ;)
