Ok what is it that does it for you all that will put you on tilt. I know for me it is a very stupid call by an opponent that will cause me to go on tilt. You know the one where they call you with basically any hand known and hit when you are clearly the winner hands down. Those suck outs are what do it to me.

I see these types mainly at FR's, they can be frustrating, even if it isn't you that is playing, you see them get a huge stack early, and you think "is there no justice!". On the other hand a lot go out early (even after they get a big stack), and you can double up against them alot also. In a FR with a lot of people, I will play somewhat wild at the beginning (DOUBLE UP OR DIE) because If you double or triple up your odds of getting into the money go way up, if you lose you have not wasted your time, and since there are many freerolls out there, you can always get into another one. I usually get two types of jerks at my table, one who calls or raises every hand, and the type that uses the clock up everytime it's there turn.

That doesn't really bother me at all. I tend to go on Tilt after I make several mistakes. Generally I make a mistake, get burnt, make anotehr, get frustrated, and it compounds until I'm into Tilt.

Why are they jerks? Are they breaking the rules? Are they being disrespectful or unpleasant? Having manic players at your table is a treat you should learn to treasure, and I often use the clock. I'll use the clock for one of three reasons; to control the timing of the blind increases hitting me, to slow the play when I no longer have fold equity and am now content on making the money, or when I know theres someone like you at the table who will get ****ed off by it.

Having maniacs at your table is great as long as there aren't too many of them. Two, three or maybe four are good since you can often get heads up against one of them when you have a strong hand. It's more difficult with more than that since there are usually more multi-way pots played.

I know this is an old thread but there are new folks here with possibly different opinions. What I would like to know is how do you fight off tilt? I am able to some times but other times I will get 2 suck outs in a row and just push in whatever I have with any old hand. On most occasions I will hit and win the hand and get criticized for my play, mostly from those who sucked out on me. I took quite a break from poker because I was not able to control the tilt. I think I have gotten better but would like to know what some of you do to stop from tilting.
