I took a couple bounties today, and finished 2nd, so I figured that I owed you guys some sort of salutations so I'd seem like less of a scab. :)
I'm SavagePenguin on FT, and SvgePenguin on PS & UB.
I get an email announcing the games, but don't play many. I've played 5 Hold'em Freaks games so far:
211374427 (3rd) (Out on hand 35594858196, I rivered a smaller two pair)
241624378 (3rd) (Out on hand 39772985887, I was short and shoved with K/5, called by 7/7 that held)
262537258 (17th) (Out on hand 42727583729, all in on turn when 90% to win)
313132184 (5th) (Out on hand 50079170440, AIPF with A/Q, vs A/J & Q/J)
326269324 (2nd) (Out on hand 51987837450. Bad bluff w flush draw.)
I'm a self-employed computer technician. I used to play online all the time, but I've been playing less and less lately. I'm a low volume player, but even though I've slowed down I still think I'm improving.
I used to be a PS guy, but started getting rakeback on FT so I tend to go there. I also like their super turbos, and Rush games. People can't seem to adjust in these, so they're easier. They're also more exciting.
Raise, Ha!

I've been fortunate enough to play in a few of the tourneys you played. I can say for a fact that you're a very good player and I'm fearful when I'm in a hand with you.
Thanks for joining us, we really appreciate your coming.

Welcome to HoldemFreaks savagepenguin. It was a pleasure to meet you last night. Your quite the player! I also play on FT under same name as Stars, CalifNaughti. We will have to play a game sometime! In mean time I hope you play more games.
Computer tech eh? You ever see that unlock lock on your computer screen? Sometimes its locked sometimes its unlocked? Pain in butt to get rid of but it always comes back after a month or so. :violin:

You ever see that unlock lock on your computer screen?
Do you mean as if it's a secured or non secured web page (Internet Explorer lock) or is it some sort of antivirus/security/firewall program running?

That's good advice.
I was well aware that you were on a different level from most other players in the game. So yeah, I was wary of you.

I cut my teeth on 6-max ring games when I started online poker a few years ago, and I think that 6-max environment was a concentrated lesson on learning what means what. Yeah, there's a lot of pre-flop play, but post-flop is what separates the winners from losers. Really, anybody can learn to play well pre-flop. A lot of people *think* they are good just because they can play good pre-flop, but they just aren't up to par post-flop. If you're not sitting out of a hand and talking to the screen then I think you're not optimizing your time. I'm constantly verbally telling the screen, "Don't call him dude you're crushed... but I know you're going to call anyway," or "I wish I was in this pot because you both have nothing and I'm willing to take the free chips with a bet." It all adds up, and when I'm wrong, I learn a small lesson.
I'm probably preaching to the choir here, as you guys probably know the score. I just babble sometimes. (My degree is in English, writing)
Personally, I did enjoy your, "fearful when I'm in a hand with you" comment. ;) It's good for me both pre-and post flop. Often it means that I take more blinds, and when they do play back I have a much better idea of what they have so post-flop I can maneuver a lot better.

You said "your fascinating" instead of "you're fascinating" because you want my head to asplode, right? Women are evil like that.
Yoda said that something looked "scarier then an all in" instead of "scarier than an all in" on his profile's visitors messages and it was a splinter in my brain.

I don't remember you butchering my name.
Is there a thread that talks about the Tournaments? Specifically the rules?
