maybe the stragenst play I've ever made.

As part of my $200 challenge, this hand came up today. I suddenly decided to adapt a different approach and make a very strange play to see how it would work.

So if he has the ace, I'm behind with a lot of outs (probably Q K or club for 15 outs. If he doesn't I'm beating everything but a set. Not a lot of logic to it, but I read "ace" on this hand and felt like I could buy the pot, with a bunch of outs if I'm wrong. Looking at the HH, I'm starting to think pocket pair of TT - 55.

So I open this for discussion of either how crazy I am, or better yet alternate plays.

I'll submit that if taking this pot down is my goal, another option is to make a good raise of maybe $3-4. If I'm called I've still got the outs. If he can come over the top there is a good chance I'm beaten.

If you're willing to risk 75% of your stack and push all-in there, I have no problem with that. You do have a lot of outs if by chance he's holding an A, 44 or QQ. I think he would of bet more if he had one of the hands though.
However, if you felt you were ahead I might have just called knowing there was a good chance that you could improve your hand and take some more money off your opponent.
